Model turned actress/host Phoemela Baranda is the new cover for August 2008 Maxim magazine issue. Phoem is currently a segment host for entertainment on TVPatrol World weeknights and every Sunday on the Buzz.

She’s really pretty and amazingly sexy in this magazine issue. How can she manage to bare like that?

What a disappoinment to see a real talent to be booted out in a competition like Pinoy Idol on GMA-7.  Nanghinayang ako na natanggal si Penelope although I’m not a regular viewer of the singing contest show of Kapuso Network. But once in a while I checked some of the performances of Pinoy Idol contestants. At sa ganang akin, may talent si Penelope and I I think she deserves to win the title kaya lang natanggal na siya.

Let’s face it, marami ang nagreact ng natanggal siya sa kumpetisyon dahil may talent naman ang bata. Pero gaya nga ng sinabi ko noon, ang manonood ang magdedesisyon kung sino ang gusto nilang manatili sa laban kahit pa sa tingin ng iba na magaling siya. I think parang popularity at hindi talent contest ang Pinoy Idol.

Unlike sa PDA ng ABS-CBN, kung saan ito ang pinapanood ko dahil maganda ang proseso nila sa pagpili ng mga nominado. Kung sino ang dalawang mababa ang grado yon ang pagpipilian ng mga viewers na iboto para maligtas. Oh well, malaki naman talaga ang pagkakaiba ng Pinoy Idol sa PDA in terms of voting for elemination.

But in the end, ganun talaga ang kalakaran ng contests someone has to go. Goodluck na lang sa iba pang contestants. Who knows magkakaroon ng wildcard ang Pinoy Idol. What ya think?

KDOND is back in town!

Thank God, my favorite game show in the Philippines is back in the air tomorrow nignt on ABS-CBN before TV Patrol World. The Kapamilya Deal or No Deal is still hosted of course by Kris Aquino with a new set and new faces of 26K girls.

I really miss banker too, according to ABS-CBN there will be a band called “Parokya ni Banker”. That would be interesting to add more spices in the show.
